Inktober

2026: This year is the fourth time I am participating. And there is a big chance this is the last year as well. It sucks up a lot of time and I am not the person to just do a tiny bit of something. No, give me a bag of chips and I eat all of it. I am not taking 3 chippies and than put it back in the cabinet. This year my goal is to keep it simple, really simple. Let’s see how that goes. 2025:Inktober is a yearly ink drawing event, taking place in October. This year is the third time I am participating. My goodness, haha. It is tough, because there is barely any time to come up with ideas, or fully work out a drawing. On to the next. I don’t use tracing and working figuratively is not part of my routine. I am forgetting about the fundamentals and look like a fool! But that is also what makes it interesting. So I dive in and draw my socks off 😆 This year I’ve decided to stick to one material, the ballpoint pen. Oh, and I doubled the size. Why do I do that 😭? Anyhow, some things come out really well and some not at all and that’s okay.

Big part of the fun is social media and meeting other artists that are going through the same process. I am no longer active on Twitter and Instagram, but BlueSky, Cara and Pixelfed are decent alternatives to connect. Do I see you there?
